Report an error

A calculation that disagrees with your merchant is a bug, and it is the most useful thing you can tell us. Reports are checked against the published source rather than filed away.

What makes a report easy to act on

  • The numbers you entered. Dimensions, material, purchase unit and waste percentage. This is what lets us reproduce it exactly.
  • What the calculator gave you and what you expected instead.
  • Where your figure comes from— a merchant’s stated bag weight, a manufacturer’s coverage table, a standard. A source turns a disagreement into a fix.

What happens next

The report goes into a queue that is reviewed against the sources listed on the material densities page. If an assumption is wrong it is corrected, the review date is updated, and the calculation tests are extended so it cannot regress.

If you leave an email address we will reply when it is resolved. An address is optional and is used for nothing else.

Not an error, but still useful

Missing product sizes, pack weights that differ in your area, or a material we do not cover are all worth reporting through the same form. Regional product data is exactly the sort of thing that is hard to get right from a distance.
